Course Outline
Overview
Security officers play a critical role in safeguarding Protected Areas and Protected Places, where heightened security measures are required due to the nature and importance of these locations. Effective security operations at such sites are essential to prevent unauthorised access, deter security threats, and ensure the safety of people, assets, and infrastructure.
Given the higher risk profile of Protected Areas and Protected Places, security officers must possess specialised knowledge and skills to carry out their duties professionally and in compliance with legal and operational requirements. Well-trained security officers contribute to national and organisational security by maintaining vigilance, enforcing access control measures, and responding promptly to security incidents.
This course focuses on equipping security officers with the essential competencies required to perform security duties at Protected Areas and Protected Places, in accordance with established procedures, regulations, and security protocols.
